Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email, and password (stored only in hashed form).
• Profile information: for Pros — business name, bio, services, photos, service area, and the payment handles you choose to display; for clients — optional photo and preferences.
• Booking information: appointment requests, messages between clients and Pros, and booking history.
• Health and sensitivity details: if you choose to share them in booking notes (for example allergies, sensitivities, or accessibility needs), they are optional and are shared only with the Pro you book.
• Location: a city or area you provide or allow. By default we display only approximate (city-level) location publicly and reveal a Pro’s exact address only after a booking is confirmed; a Pro may choose to show a more precise public location.
• Device and usage data: basic analytics about how the app is used, to improve and secure the product.

How we use information

We use your information to operate the marketplace (create accounts, show listings, enable bookings and messaging), to send transactional notifications such as booking updates (in-app, email, or push where enabled), and to improve and secure the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Payments

Istello does not process payments. Pros list their own payment methods (for example Cash App, Venmo, or Zelle) and clients pay Pros directly. Any deposit or payment terms are set and collected by the Pro. We are not responsible for off-platform payments, deposits, or refunds.

How information is shared

• Public listing information (business name, services, approximate location, photos, ratings) is visible to anyone browsing the marketplace.
• Booking and message content is shared between the client and the Pro involved in that booking.
• Service providers that help us run the app (for example hosting and email delivery) process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Data retention and your rights

We keep your information while your account is active. To access, correct, export, or delete your data, email support@istello.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You can also update your profile in your account settings and opt out of non-essential notifications.

Children

Istello is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children.
